The association as Fraternity

Our Vission

Following the teaching and the example of Christ, the Good Shepherd, and in communion with the Bishops of Bangladesh, holiness in their lives because of their consecration to God and steward of the mysteries of God in the service of His people fully imbued with the three fold i. e. royal, prophetic and priestly functions.

Our Mission

To nourish spiritual life at the two-fold table of the Sacred Scripture and the Uucharist; so the priests are to offer Eucharistic sacrifice daily.
To oblige themselves to carry out the liturgy of the hours daily.
To oblige themselves to make spiritual retreats and reconciliations in accordance with the provisions of particular law and conventions.
To engage regularly in mental prayer, to approach the Sacrament of Penance frequently.
To honor the Virgin Mother of God with particular veneration and to use other general and special means to holiness .
To faithfully and untiringly fulfill the obligations of their Sacrament and Pastoral ministries.

The Priest

A priest is ‘Other Christ’ who take care of the flock of Our Lord, Christ Jesus who is the Head and the Shepherd. He (the priest) is a worker in the vineyard of the Lord. To fulfill this service the priests come to gather to share their life, apostolate, and form a solid sacred bond among themselves. Diocesan Priests are those ordained for the particular Church (diocese) in acting persona Christi, serve ordinarily in the parish and at large in other ministries as well as for the daily needs of the people in building up of the Church.

Diocesan Priests’ Fraternity

The Bangladesh Diocesan Priests’ Fraternity, is considered as an Association which ‘opens to all ordained diocesan clergy who are committed to help each other, to realize fully the life according the Spirit through the exercise of their ministry. It’s characteristic aspect lies on the brotherhood arising from the Sacrament of Orders as to foster among the Diocesan Clergy and in the Local Church a life of communion inspired by the model of the apostles which is rooted in the communion of the Trinity and expressed through pastoral ministry’
